The Angier Chamber of Commerce is looking for a friendly, dependable, and community-minded Part-Time Chamber Assistant to help keep our Chamber running smoothly and support our local small businesses. This role is hands-on, creative, and ideal for someone who enjoys working with people and staying active in the community.

What You’ll Do
Marketing & Social Media
Update Chamber website with events, members, and announcements
Create and schedule posts for Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok
Capture photos and video at events and community activities
Design simple graphics in Canva for promotions and events
Assist in creating the weekly member newsletters in Constant Contact
Member & Community Support
Assist with membership visits and new member onboarding
Support ribbon cuttings, grand openings, and Chamber events
Provide friendly follow-up with members and businesses
Office & Administrative Support
Answer phones and assist walk-ins and inquiries
Help with filing, data entry, and general office organization
Handle mail runs and light errands
Events & Programs
Assist with setup, staffing, and breakdown of Chamber events
Support registration, check-in, and event logistics
Help with workshops, networking events, and community programs
Required Qualifications
High school graduate (minimum education requirement)
Proficient in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Gmail, Drive, Calendar, etc.)
Comfortable using Canva for basic design and marketing materials
Tech-savvy and confident using Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok
Strong communication and people skills
Able to multitask and work independently
Must be able to pass a clean criminal background check
Reliable transportation
Additional Qualifications
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality with member and business information
Positive, professional attitude when representing the Chamber
Flexibility to occasionally work early mornings or evenings for events
Willingness to support a fast-paced, community-focused environment
Schedule & Hours
Part-time position: 10 – 15 hours per week
Hours may vary based on Chamber events and community activities
Pay will be discussed with selected candidates during the interview process.
