The Angier Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce our entertainment for this years Annual Banquet on March 6th at Barclay Villa. 

Referred to often as a modern-day Renaissance woman, Yolanda Rabun is also a chart-topping national soul & jazz recording artist with three studio albums and has played or headlined festivals in Hawaii, South Korea, Japan and the States. She has amazed sold-out crowds at the acclaimed Blues Alley Jazz in Washington DC, Catalina Jazz Club in Hollywood, CA and New York's Lincoln Center and collaborated with the late Soul singer Isaac Hayes, American Idol's Clay Aiken, and opened for Grammy and Tony award winners, Jennifer Holiday and Stephanie Mills, the legendary Ron Isley and the Isley Brothers, R&B sensation KEM and the amazing Sheila E. Yolanda has also performed for the late and Former U.S. President Ronald Reagan and serenaded NC Governor Roy Cooper and his dinner guests for a private concert at the Executive Mansion.
 
Yolanda is a Voting member of the National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences (the Grammys), a registered BMI songwriter and a publisher with both BMI and ASCAP. 
 
Not surprisingly, Yolanda is quite adept at acting achieving notoriety on regional theatre stages with magnificent reviews alongside Tony-award winning actors. In several noted plays, Yolanda has accolades of Best Actress (Archy and Mehitabel, Member of the Wedding) and Best Ensemble (Twelfth Night, Crowns, I Love My Hair) to her credit. Recent crowd-pleasing theatre appearances include Smokey Joe's Cafe, Mary Poppins, Buddy, the Buddy Holly Story and Nina Simone: What More Can I Say, as Nina Simone. Yolanda has also appeared in numerous television commercials and industrials.
 
Recognized by President Obama with the President’s Call to Service Award for having accumulated 4,000+ lifetime hours in service, Yolanda has dedicated her time to several community organizations: Girl Scouts of America Summer Leadership Camp, Raleigh Little Theater (Former Board President) , Habitat for Humanity, Safe Horizon, Arts & Health at Duke, The Art of Cool Project and NC Arts in Action in addition to serving the United States Troops with her melodic voice overseas.
 
Yolanda and husband Dereck have been married for 23 years; they are proud of their two sons: Miles(19) and William(17), aspiring entrepreneurs who at the young ages of 7 and 5 co-authored “My Grandma’s Backyard”, a fun filled children’s picture book that reflects the tale of two brothers' adventures with their grandmother. 
 
Yolanda Rabun lives at the speed of passion and challenges everyone she encounters to do the same!

Annual Banquet - In the first quarter of the year, there will be an annual dinner meeting for all members in good standing. At this time, there will be an award presented for man and woman of the year and large and small business of the year as voted on by Chamber members. The induction of new Chamber Board of Directors will take place at this time as well.

Exclusive Recommendations - When a request is made on products or services in the area, members are suggested first. As a member, your business will be promoted on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Constant Contact.

Membership Plaque - Each member is given a membership plaque so your visitors will know you have made an investment in your community.

Member Nominations - Members may be nominated to serve on the Angier Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. Board members serve a 3 year term and nominations are made annually based on the number of vacancies.

Country on the Outskirts of Town Annual Sweetheart Show Coming Soon

Join Paige Johnson and the rest of Country on the Outskirts of Town for their annual Sweetheart Show on Friday, February 9th and Saturday, February 10th. It will be a great place to bring that special someone or your best friends to enjoy a delicious meal and a wonderful show of live music from one of the best bands in the southeast! Friday night dinner will begin at 6:30 p.m. and the show will begin at 7:30 p.m. Saturday night dinner will begin at 6:00 p.m.  and the show at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are $30.00 each, including a buffet meal and two-hour show. 62nd Annual Awards Banquet to be Held March 6th

The Angier Chamber of Commerce 62nd Annual Awards Banquet will be held at Barclay Villa on Tuesday, March 6th beginning at 6:30 p.m.  Now is the time to get your nominations in for  Man, Woman, and/or Small and Large  Business of the Year.
