BUSINESS OF THE YEAR
The purpose of the Business of the Year award is to recognize the important role business owners play in the Angier community. Nominations are accepted for businesses which have given of their time, talent, and energies to add to the total community development of the Angier community.
Criteria for nomination:
1.The nominee has shown growth in its business by being prosperous and in operation for a period of at least two years.
2.The nominee has used imagination, know-how, and hard work to overcome the problems that face a community business.
3.The nominee has a sense of community pride and is involved in community projects, organizations, and public service.
4.The nominee must be a member in good standing with the Angier Chamber of Commerce. (for a list of Angier Chamber of Commerce members, please visit the membership directory at www.angierchamber.org.)
5.The nominee can not have received this award in the previous five years. The last recipients of this award were:
Large Business – Bryan-Lee Funeral Home (2017)
Small Business – Manna Church Capital Area (2017)
Large Business – Central Carolina Community College (2018)
Small Business – Carolina Butcher Shop (2018)
Small Business – Brick & Mortar Grill (2019)Small Business – Sew There! Quilts and More (2020)
Small Business – Angier Public Library (2021)
Submit the nomination form to the Angier Chamber of Commerce no later than 5 p.m. Friday, March 3rd, 2023.
R.H. ELLINGTON CITIZEN OF THE YEAR
Criteria for Nomination:
1.The man or woman nominated must be at least 21 years of age and cannot have received this award within the past five years. The previous 5 year winners were:
W.J. Baker & Loru Hawley (2018)
Jesse Cann & Rachel Barnes (2019)
Alan Coats & Donna Adams (2020)
Addison Allgood (2021)
2.Their activities and accomplishments shall preferably be current (within the last five years, however longer periods may be considered.)
3.Qualified nominees for Citizen of the Year Award must have given of their time, talent, and energies to add to the total community development of the Angier community.
4.Any citizen may make nominations. Nominees do not have to be Chamber members.
5.Nominations must be made in writing on this form and returned to the Chamber no later than 5 p.m. Friday, March 3rd, 2023.
