DESCRIPTION:To Make A Child Smile Holiday Food Drive \nTo Make a Child Smile is partnering with local Harnett County schools to identify children and families in need. On Sunday\, December 21st\, volunteers will take these children Christmas shopping\, and the goal is to provide each family with a box of food so they can enjoy a warm holiday meal together. \nWe’re accepting non-perishable food donations such as canned goods\, instant potatoes\, rice\, pasta\, and other pantry staples.

SUMMARY:ACOC 2026/2028 Board Member Nominations being accepted
DESCRIPTION:Any member of the Angier Chamber of Commerce in good standing may be nominated for a seat on the Board of Directors. Directors serve a three-year term with a maximum of two consecutive terms. Any current director who has not served two consecutive terms\, may be re-nominated for another three-year term. There are (4) available seats for the 2026/2028 term. \nVacancies created by Angier Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors expiring terms this year are as follows: \nDiana Lischin – Angier Family Pharmacy (end of 2nd term)\nTom Wilson – C & D Insurance (end of 2nd term)\nAddison Allgood – The Shop Community Space\nKim Causer – Simply Said Gifts & Decor (end of 1st term\, but can serve a 2nd term) \nPLEASE NOTE:\n1. Board meetings will be held at the Angier Chamber of Commerce located at 24 East Depot Street\, Angier the second Tuesday of every month at 8:30 am.\n2. If the nominee is on a Committee (Annual Banquet Committee\, Crepe Myrtle Committee\, Christmas Committee\, etc.)\, there will be meetings scheduled outside of the regular Board meetings that they will be expected to attend.\n3. The nominee must be available to volunteer at the Annual Banquet\, Crepe Myrtle Celebration\, Christmas events\, and any other events the Chamber may host throughout the year. It takes\, us as a team\, working together to make these community events successful.\n4. There will be ribbon cuttings scheduled throughout the year that the nominee will be expected to attend.\n5. There will be networking events scheduled throughout the year that the nominee will be expected to attend. \nThe current Board of Directors will vote on the new members based on the nominations made by the membership in accordance with the Angier Chamber of Commerce Bylaws. \nNOTE: The Board of Directors of the Corporation shall consist of not less than ten (10) persons nor more than fifteen (15) persons. \nClick here for the nomination form (link will not work until November 1st\, 2025).
