Thank You Bike Fest Sponsors & Participants

Thanks to the Bike Fest Committe for their hard work promoting and supporting the 9th Annual Bike Fest June 5th.  Although it was a 'hot' day, the event was a success and everyone had a great time.  The following sponsors made the event possible:  Allstate Insurance, Johnson's Landing, Ray Price Triumph, Angier Computers, Images In Time, Southern Charm Boutique, Angier Insurance Agency, First Citizens Bank, RCR Machines, Simon'z Restaurant, D & Q Motorsports, and Green Earth Electric Golf Carts.  Approximately 45 bikes participated in the annual Charity Ride.  Proceeds from the Bike Ride went to The Harnett County Fallen Firefighter Memorial Fund and towards Cancer Research.  The Bike Show was also a hit.  Winners include:  Trike Category: 1st to Alice Baker, 2nd to Chris McHargue.  Sportster: 1st Randy Gregory, 2nd Jason Jackson. Sport Bike: Rodney Lee Robbins. Production Chopper: 1st Phil Baker, 2nd Diego Santiago. Metric Cruiser: 1st Bryan Long, 2nd David Williams. Antique: 1st Harold Walton, 2nd Mike Sheen. Custom Bike: Cameron Johnson. Domestic Cruiser: 1st Robby Robbins, 2nd Rick Rushton. Full Dresser: Dail Currie, 2nd John Thomas. Also a special thanks to the many vendors that participated and the 'volunteers' that worked diligently to make the Bike Fest fun.  Bands, 'The Blenders' and 'Drifting River' and DJ, Eric Byrd, provided live entertainment throughout the day.  To conclude the day's festivities, the Angier Cruise In sponsored the 'Good Time Party Band' afterwards.
