Meals on Wheels Volunteers Needed
Meals on Wheels has an urgent need for volunteers to deliver meals to homebound seniors in the Angier area. Due to sickness, death, and aging out, their volunteer list has dwindled over the past year. It only takes a couple of hours a month and is a great way for businesses or citizens to give back to their community. Harnett County Partnership For Children Silent Auction
The HCPFC invites you to attend the 6th Annual Silent Auction and Dinner with live entertainment from the band "Signature Series." The event will take place at the Harnett County Government Complex Commons Area on Sat., Nov. 8 at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $40 each or $70 per couple. To purchase tickets or donate to the silent auction, please call 910-893-2344.

Free Flu Shots
This fall, First Choice Community Health Centers will be offering free flu shots for the community. The free shots will be available during special evening clinics at the Angier Medical Center from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on October 22 and 23 and on November 5. They are also availalbe any time during normal hours and are avialable to both scheduled appointments and walk-ins. For more information, call 910-893-3063.

Harnett Central Middle School Fundraiser Raffle

$10,000 reverse raffle on Saturday, November 15, 2008 at the Harnett cafeteria. A donation of $100 includes two steak dinners along with a chance to win $10,000 (1^st prize) or $1,000 (2^nd prize). You do not have to be present to win. There will also be a silent basket auction and door prizes given throughout the evening. If you’d like to donate a door prize, an item for the silent auction, or purchase a ticket, please contact Paula Stewart at 919-815-1743 or e-mail paulakstewart@yahoo.com.   Proceeds will be used for athletics, Test Jam, student agendas, teacher needs, student clubs, technology and other school needs.
