32nd ANNUAL CREPE MYRTLE CELEBRATION 2005

With the planting of Crepe Myrtle trees in the 1920s and 1930s, the Town of Angier has become known at the Town of Crepe Myrtles. Since 1974, the town has celebrated the Crepe Myrtle with a day of food and fun. The first Crepe Myrtle Festival, as it was called, was held at Angier High School athletic field as an Independence celebration. The festival evolved over the years to today’s Crepe Myrtle Celebration, which is held in Depot Square. See our photos from 2004!
