History of the Angier Chamber of Commerce

• March 5, 1956 – A group of approximately seventy-five Angier citizens met for the purpose of organizing the Angier Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Tom Proctor from Fuquay Springs spoke on the work of the Chamber of Commerce and that the main reason for a Chamber of Commerce was to get the people of the Town to work together.
  
• March 12, 1956 - The citizens of Angier met again for the purpose of organizing the Chamber of Commerce. A motion was made to organize the Angier Chamber of Commerce, the motion was seconded, and the motion was unanimously carried.
  
• March 19, 1956 - The first Board of Directors was elected and the Bylaws were adopted.
  
• May 9, 1956 - The Angier Chamber of Commerce was incorporated
